Hebrews 9:11-12 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption....
First] I want to give an overview of the study: {1} How did Jesus obtained eternal redemption? {2} The Throne scene in Heaven, Rev 5. {3} When will the Church provoke Israel to Jealousy. {4} Who is Babylon? And where is her seat of Authority in this last kingdom? [There is something enlightening here in Chapter 18 and that is there is still wealthy people living in the latter part of tribulation. Just think about the recent, debated bill that was passed, to enhance the rich.] {5} What does the iron and the clay mean. {6} Do you know the Jesus who purchased Eternal Redemption? And how do you receive Him? Answer: by believing on His name or on Him for the promise of everlasting life made to you?
You receive it from Him by believing on His name or Him, they are one and the same, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, to them that believe on his name: You are born again when you believe on His Name or Him for the Gift of Eternal life, He obtained for you. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Those who received Him are those who believed on His name, those who believed on His name are those who are born again. Born again is the Work of God in you when you believe on His name. Now let us read it exactly as He wrote, Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Notice the LORD ties receiving to believing. The one who receives Him is the one who believes on His name, but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, to them that believe on his name.
So, what do we have here to see?
1] Eternal Life is the Gift of God, Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2] The gift of God is received by believing on His name or on Him. The word “received” in v12 is not the same word used in V 11, = His own the unbelieving nation. In V12 it means one, who receives from the giver. (Jesus is the giver of life]. Remember Jesus said in John 4:10, Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Joh 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. How do you eat of that bread? Answer: By believing He is the bread of Life! How else do you propose to eat of it? By Grace, He provided the Grace = “I am the living bread which came down from heaven....” You provide the faith, by believing He is that Bread of Life.
The rapture is inevitable, The Word of God declares it. Now is the time to hold to the truth, 2Th 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2Th 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 2Th 2:17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
We are living in a time when the rapture is not taken seriously. For the most part the church is rocking right along, everything is good! But is it? Are they saved? Who told them? I know they are good but are they saved? 1Co_15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. If you are living when Jesus comes as given in 1Thess 4:13-17, and not saved, you will be left behind and will go into the tribulation.
The Throne Scene in Revelation 5:1-8 takes place after the rapture but before the tribulation. There will be people living in the church age who miss the rapture who will know what happened and I believe will be saved. But they will go through the Tribulation, and most will die for their testimony for Christ.
This scene captures the Son taking the book from the Father, Rev. 5:1-6.
The Son must have the book before the tribulation can start, 5:7, And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
The book is the seven Seal Judgment that Christ opens and pours out on the earth starting in Rev. 6:1.
This scene captures the church, and Tribulation Saints, Rev. 5:6-9. It is one of worship. We worship because of redemption, Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.
The twenty-four elders represent believers in the church age and in the tribulation who served faithfully until the end. The new song, V9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
This scene captures the victory of the saints, 5:10 –14, i.e, v10, And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
It frames a future reward, Rev. 20:4,And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
All believer O.T saints, Church Age Saints, Tribulation Saints both faithful and unfaithful will be resurrected, John 6:39-40 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day..
But only the Faithful will reign with Him, Rev. 2:26-28, 3:21, Matt. 25:31, 33; Rom. 8:17-18; 2 Tim. 2:12.
The Judgements are separate by a thousand years: Let us go back to Chapter five (5) V 10 and make the connection: And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Now Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
And now the separation of the judgements, 20:5, But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. …" All who have not been resurrected by the time of the resurrection of T.S will not live again until the thousand years is over. John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. By this time all who are saved have been raised, and this is the first resurrection.
20:6, Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, [ hath part in = possesses a portion in. This inheritance is conditional on obedience, see 20:4, And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. and confirmed again in the latter part of verse 6, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years. Remember the word has said only the faithful will reign, Rev. 2:26-28, 3:21, Matt. 25:31, 33; Rom. 8:17-18; 2 Tim. 2:12. All the saved, faithful and unfaithful will be in heaven, and it will be the faithful who reign.
When is Israel provoked to Jealousy? I have never seen that on the mass scale that it implies. But from the beginning that has been said, Rom_10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Now in this age of grace the believing Jew is in the Church. But Israel as a whole has not obeyed the gospel. But they will as a nation call on The LORD to deliver them in the Tribulation and so all Israel shall be saved. God has not cast away His people, Romans 11:1 and 25.
There will be a great turning to the LORD in the tribulation as the two-witnesses preach and teach the Jews in the tribulation about God’s plan and purpose for them. And points to the Church as the called-out ones who believe the Gospel of Christ that they rejected and have their same spiritual heritage. Eph. 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Israel shall know who they rejected and crucified, Zec 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends
Romans 11:15 –25, i.e. V25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Who is Babylon in Revelation 18? Cf, Daniel 2:31-45. It is the kingdoms as seen in Daniel’s vision of the statue [ the spirit of Babylon that moves as Babylon's geography moves]. Daniel saw down to the end, Dan. 2:40-45. This statue is one spirit and Babylon is a spirit and it moves locations [the seat of authority] down thru the ages.
Revelation 18:1-3. In this world system there is every foul spirit of anti-christ. Who is Babylon? It is what Daniel saw: The head of gold all the way down to the end time of the iron and the clay. It is the spirit of Babylon that has existed back to the days of Nimrod. The location of the seat of authority changed with each passing kingdom. In this spirit of Babylon And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth, Rev. 18:24.
The question is where this seat of authority is found in this last kingdom?
Here is a quote from J.F.B: 1“The harlot is not Rome alone (though she is pre-eminently so), but every Church that has not Christ’s mind and spirit. False Christendom, divided into very many sects, is truly Babylon, that is, confusion. lifeless Christendom is the harlot, whose great aim is the pleasure of the flesh. “ In this we see the spirit of Babylon.
Today there is mass confusion about the way of Eternal life, Discipleship, and The Word of God. Isaiah spoke of the destruction of Babylon, Isaiah chapter 13, i.e. 10-11] and so did Jer. 51, i.e. 63-64.
18:4 - And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakes of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Rev 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
I do not think, “come out” is a rapture passage. It is like the LORD calling Lot out of Sodom, Genesis 19:13-16. Where is your mind and heart? That of Lot’s wife? V26 she looked back and became a pillar of salt
This Babylon will be destroyed, Rev.18:9- 23 compare, V23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. With Rev. 21:23, And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
America’s leadership is becoming more anti-Christian, anti-God, and anti-Christ and that is being reflected in our population. Indiana is the first state in the nation to approve new legislation restricting abortion access since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June. It became the first state to pass a ban through both chambers of the Legislature after West Virginia lawmakers passed up the opportunity to be the first on July 29. There is not a turning to the LORD – there is a turning from the LORD to religion that is empty, “Clouds without water”. Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Jer 51:13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness. We are obsessed with abortion, [it must be satanic induced] and there is human trafficking, child pornography. I never realized the extent of human trafficking and child porn. Until Nacole Sevendguard came and shared her story of human trafficking and her fight that took her to the White House and the recovery of her daughter. We all remember the flight logs to Epstein island.[See Jude 14-19]
I realize that Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. But Revelation 18:9-19 talks about ship, and sailors and those who trade by the sea, i.e. v19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. “Costliness" = costly things. I think it would be the fall of commercial Babylon as Chapter 17 would be religious Babylon Judgment. But where is the seat of authority of Commerical Babylon?
You remember 911 and the memorials that were seen in different places, of weeping and flowers of sympathy placed for America. This destruction of the city takes place in the latter part of the tribulation and this nation that survived to this time will have been a Superpower. As I read Rev. 18:9-19, It is hard for me not to think what nation but America.
5] What about the Iron and the clay? We are now in the toes. We are jars of clay. Isa_64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.Jer_18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
We do not mix with Iron, Dan 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Humans and mechanical technology do not mix, we have our own brain. This type of warfare has been talked about since 2016. This is here now.
You can’t hold up America as your hope for survival. There is no place to hide from the coming judgment. This thing is worldwide. Jude warns us about clouds without water. And Peter said, wells without water There is no hope, no peace, no assurance outside of Christ.
The audio has an illustration about the time my mother called to ask me if I knew who Jesus is?
Do you know who He is? And to the saved He is saying come back to fellowship with me.
