Are You Grateful Enough To Give Thanks?

By Pastor Roger Redmond
Give thanks in the time of great trials. Keep on praying when it seems as if God does not hear you. When you wonder if God has forgotten you, keep on praying. It has been said, " That the Teacher is always quiet during the test".

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1Th. 5:18

To be able to obey this verse, you must believe in the wisdom of God.  There is a reason the LORD  said, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." In order to jog our memory about the" in every things", I want to mention a few:

Give thanks when you cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel.  "Have faith in God" when everything looks hopeless. "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God." Mar. 11:22.

Give thanks in the time of great trials.  Keep on praying when it seems as if God does not hear you.  When you wonder if God has forgotten you, keep on praying.   It has been said, " That the Teacher is always quiet during the test".  He answers by His wisdom and in His time.  Your ship can never sink with Christ in the ship, Matthew 8:23-26  And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?

Give thanks in the time of your need, 1Ki 17:14  For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. Your barrel may not be full but it will never be empty.  When things get hopeless just tie a knot and hang on.  The LORD is always on time.

The fire may be hot but it will never scorch you, "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, ...." When you are giving Him thanks you are saying," LORD I trust you".  May we always be grateful enough to give Him thanks!
