Romans 16:24-25
The Gospel is the Power of God unto salvation ."Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ." Not Paul's personal preaching; It is not any one's personal preaching but according to that preaching of which Christ is the author.
It is the preaching of the gospel that God has ordained. Paul preached the revelation of Christ that God had given him. Gal_1:12 " For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." What is this gospel that Paul preached? It is the message God gave Paul, "....., according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began," Rom 16:26 "But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:"
No one has the right to alter, change in any way, the Gospel message because it is authored by God, Heb 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."
What did Christ accomplish? Hebrews 1:3, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" What did He accomplish? He took your sin!
The Message of the Gospel is about Christ. It is about His death, burial, and resurrection. It is not about anyone else, or anything else. Here is this Gospel, 1Co 15:1 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The message of Christ has the power to establish you in a worthy life, Ephesians 4:1 "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called," He has called us, invited us to Believe on Him for Eternal Life and then to walk in Him, Col_2:6 "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:"
