Hebrews 1:3, "….and upholding all things by the word of His power,…" In other word Christ spoke and creation happened, creation of all things. And they will remain as such until He releases them from their created state.
Colossians 1:17 "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." The universe exists and is ever expanding because of the power of His Word. And it says here, "…by him all things consist." It is impossible to separate Creation from its Creator, Christ. But yet the miracle of the creation story and the truth of God's Word are being removed from our educational system and from our society. And then some would question why so much violence and murders are sweeping our country and schools!
Without Christ, our universe would disintegrate and self-destruct and the same happens to our lives. Many years ago, I heard a Pastor, of mine; refer to Christ as the glue that held the world together. In my research, I came across the word Nuclear Glue; the following article is from that study.
"The nucleus is the center of an atom. It is made up of nucleons (protons and neutrons) and is surrounded by the electron cloud………… Neutrons have no charge and protons are positively charged. Because the nucleus is only made up of protons and neutrons it is positively charged. Things that have the same charge repel each other: this repulsion is part of what is called electromagnetic force. Unless there was something else holding the nucleus together it could not exist because the protons would push away from each other. The nucleus is actually held together by another force, the strong nuclear force" Copied from: Atomic Glue - The Force That Holds the Atom Together godschemistryset.blogspot.com/2011/12/atomic-glue-force-that-holds-atom.html
The bible has another name for the strong nuclear force; and that is Christ the Creator. He has so designed the atom that it cannot self- destruct until the day He releases all the energy of the world, 2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
This is just a glimpse into the Power of Christ, Who is our Suffering Saviour. On the cross, He willingly took our sin and died in our place. It is the Gospel of the Grace of God: the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ, 1 Cor. 15:3-4. That is the account of how God saved you and it is God's expectation that you believe on Him for what He did!
Life is very uncertain! We can die at any moment. Be sure you will go to Christ when you die. You are justified by believing on Him: Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
